Movies 2012

Red Tails - Good movie for kids. Full of cliches, but a good action movie to introduce kids to an interesting part of American history.

Secret World of Arietty - Even though it wasn't directed by him, it was classic Miyazaki. A little less trippy, but the long lingering shots on fields of flowers, the female protagonist, and the pastoral setting.

We Need To Talk About Kevin -

The Avengers - One of the better superheroe movies. Characters actually acted like wise cracking superheroes. Great funny lines.

The Dictator - Whole movie is worth the last speech

Max and Mary (Netflix) - Damn depressing, but very memorable characters.

The Hunger Games - Better than the book.

Men In Black 3 - Saw this in 3D, but probably didn't need too. The story was funny with several laugh out loud moments. Great acting from everyone involved. Basically a buddy cop movie with aliens.
